New, One of a Kind Facility!
The Covid-19 pandemic changed music seemingly overnight, and as with many industries, we were faced with finding new solutions and opportunities. Thanks to Creative BC and their Innovation Grant, we were able to pivot and create a brand new facility that would help BC musicians, engineers, producers and others in the industry. Some of the new features are:
- 12 individual recording booths allowing complete comfort and safety all connected to the control room
- Each booth sound treated and independently vented with fresh air for optimum sound. and mask free performance
- Complete full featured recording studio for music production
- Video from the control room is displayed in each booth on an HD monitor for visual contact
- Green screen for video production
- Video post production
- Live performance music area for live streaming music and events.
- Multi-camera live streaming with studio quality audio
Audio Recording of Groups
We are able to record groups safely from choirs, ensembles and bands with complete mixing and mastering capabilities. Our first official session session was with Elektra Women's Choir. The recording of over 40 singers in four groups allowed not only for them to hear each other with studio quality sound, but even be conducted in real-time by Artistic Director, Morna Edmunson.
Groups of all types, styles and instrumentation can professionally record in comfort and safety in this facility.
Video Production
Video production for anything from web or online content, instructional or promotional, or music videos. Audio, video, editing can all be done with use of our green screen or on location. Post production to add background music, over dub narration, add stills and graphics can all be done in house. Launching a new single or album? Live Streaming
The pandemic gave so many artists streaming as one of the only options for live performance, and we had the capability to facilitate this. With live music back and going strong, many musicians and artist still want video of their performances for online content or promotion. We can provide a number of options from solo artists to bands.
